Greetings!

 

It has been a busy month, traveling and painting!

 

The show at the Crafted Kup in Poughkeepsie, NY, closes tomorrow, April 29, and the work will move to Gallery 40 on Cannon Street in Poughkeepsie.  

The show at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY, is in full swing.   There are over 100 works of art and 19 participating artists.

The End of a Perfect Day,   6x8"  Oil

 

I drove up to New York twice this month, once to deliver work and then went on with my daughter to visit my granddaughter at college two nights there, went to a crew regatta and then back home.  Then went up again a few days later again to NY, up one day/back the next.

This trip is gorgeous...  especially leaving from Maryland early in the morning when the mist is rising off the farm fields.  It is amazing how gorgeous that is with the sun shining through,    And on the other side of the road, since the sun is behind me, there is no fog, but the bright true colors.   Some day I will try to recapture this in paint...   I promise!....

And then the Rivers, I cross the Susquehanna at Harrisburg, PA, and the Delaware later, and then the Hudson River.  Water is high at this time of year.

Been painting quite a bit, mostly focusing on skies...   Here are a couple of the small studies...
